As a new member on the list I was also wondering what this means but the explaination helped me a lot.

So here is my theory on what it's about:
Snape is ALIVE! It's the worst summer because he dies in May in the shack and since he actually didn't die he's getting over bad snake bite and I'm imagining Lily really isn't dead either and she's the unexpected person.
If it's not Lily then it must be some other age appropriate extremely beautiful woman, who is going to make him forget Lily.
OR...the unexpected person is Dumbledore and that would explain why it's the worse summer ever.
I have a fanfic and am now scared I'll end up on the summery!! (LOL)
